(The car has been converted back into a winter adventure seeking machine: goodbye lowered ride, body kit and carbon fiber, hello trusty winter steed. Sure beats walking to the hills.)
Yeah, my winter hobby is snow exploration, pow shreddin' on the snowboard. Lately I have been more and more into the backcountry and off-piste fun; resorts for me are kind of stale, restrictive --- less adventure.
Living in the East, we are, um, somewhat snow challenged for sure. But as far as adventure goes there is plenty to be had. As a dad of 3, sometimes (ok, MOST of the time) my adventures involve finding pow stashes 10 minutes away, or building kicker setups in spots that don't really figure on a topo map. Doesn't stop me, but I can still dream about the Big Mountains out West...
I would love to adventure out at www.mustangpowder.com and check out their cat skiing operation. Heli-skiing always seems like a gnarly thing to do, but, cat-skiing is something more affordable for my income-allotment bracket...and as much as I (maso!?) like to earn turns, getting a little mechanized help doesn't hurt, right? Mustang Powder sounds like a pretty sweet spot for igniting stoke, even for unworthy jongs like myself.
Have a good winter and check out my posts on ga16forum.com for part-out info for performance goodies from the car, including all the bits for the turbo kit.
